December 13, 1991 the section Experimental and Applied Entomology of the Netherlands Entomological Society organized its Third Annual Meeting for experimentally and/or applied working entomologists.
This time the Meeting was held in Ede and organized in collaboration with the Wageningen Agricultural University (WAU). The involvement of the WAU was not only reflected in the locality of the Meeting but a lso in its prog ram. One of the research programs of the department of Entomology of the WAU was presented in the introductory lecture “New developments in Desert Locust management and control”. Thanks to the contributions of the regular attendants of the Meeting papers and posters were presented in continuation of the work communicated at the First and Second Annual Meetings. Much attention was given to research on host-parasite relations, plant-pest interactions, pest control, population biology, behaviour of bees, insect physiology and taxonomy
